How to become a member

Membership in CWWA is open to individuals, companies and utilities operating in the Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste sectors under the following categories of membership:

  • GENERAL MEMBER:
    A General Member shall, at the time of their application, hold a Degree in engineering or science approved by the Board, although in exceptional circumstances the Board may accept the alternative qualification and experience in responsible posts in water, waste and any environmental field.
  • STUDENT:
    A Student shall be at the time working towards a degree in engineering or science and is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at university.
  • ASSOCIATE ORGANIZATION:
    This can include any non-corporate company/non-corporate utility, organization/project in related field of water, waste and environmental management.
  • CORPORATE COMPANY
    National, regional and international “COMPANIES’ working in the field of water supply, wastewater or solid waste disposal, such as consultants, contractors, manufacturers of plant and equipment.
  • CORPORATE UTILITY
    National or regional ‘UTILITIES’ operating in the field of water supply, wastewater or solid waste disposal and providing services as a public or private sector utility.
  • APPLICANT’S SIGNATURE
    In the case of CORPORATE MEMBERS, the application MUST be done by the CEO/General Manager of the Company or Utility, or appointed individual authorized in writing to act on behalf of the applicant Company or Utility.

Membership FAQs

What is the length of my Membership?

Ans: CWWA Membership is valid for a period of one year and is renewed Annually. Membership runs July 1st to June 30th.

 

When are Membership Payments due?

Ans: Membership payments for the new financial year are due on or before June 30th of the current financial year.

 

Can I still sign up as a New Member / renew my existing Membership after June 30th?

Ans: Yes! CWWA accepts New Members throughout the year. Late Membership Renewals may be subject to a late fee.

 

How can I pay my Membership Dues?

Ans: The CWWA encourages all members to join or renew online through the CWWA’s website using the Wipay payment portal, which accepts both Visa and Mastercard.

For each membership payment, a standard processing fee of 3.5% of the total plus $0.25 USD would be applied.

Alternatively, if you don’t have access to a credit card, there are three additional payment methods available:

  • Bank Transfer/Direct Deposit – Trinidad and Tobago Members only (click here for wire transfer information)
  • Cash/Linx –Trinidad & Tobago Members can contact the CWWA Secretariat to arrange payment  +1-868-645-8681

 

Is my Membership transferrable / refundable?

Ans: CWWA Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable.
